One of the incredible perks of working on the Behance team is the extent to which we're exposed to all of the work featured on the Behance Network. We are consistently floored by the talent, drive and passion our Network participants possess, so this week we decided to break away from the mold of our topically-focused Spotlights to highlight some of our personal favorites, instead.
Jack Radcliff's series of photographs documenting his daughter's growth over thirty-two years is one of the most stunning projects we've seen to date. Incredibly personal, sometimes provocative and undeniably beautiful, this lifelong and ongoing collaboration between Radcliff and Alison has had a profound effect on his body of work...and on us.
Now, we're not condoning violence against stuffed animals, all we're saying is that The Blood Show has plush toys which happen to be bleeding alongside an impeccably styled model in what ultimately a beautiful tribute to one Mark Ryden. And we love it. That's all we're saying.
At first glance, Aqueous might leave you wondering, what is it? Undiscovered creatures of the deep? A study of combustion and its various sources? Upon further investigation, the answer is quite simple: paint and water, and the end product is simply beautiful.
Earlier this week, we told you that breaking some schoolhouse habits was sometimes okay, and Levi van Veluw's use of ballpoint pen on human skin -- a frowned-upon habit in classrooms worldwide -- proves that some rules were just meant to be broken.
Josh McHugh took us along for a ride during his NASA Hypergravity Stunt for Wired magazine, and in doing so also transported us back to a time when, as children, we believed we could do anything. That's a special feeling, even if it is only for the span of time it takes to read his winsomely constructed article.
Finally, we had no idea that dressing fruit and vegetables up in sweaters then photographing them as helium balloons could be so fun and so beautiful. Thanks to Media-noche by Sandra Valenzuela, now we do..and for that, we are thankful.
