Poppy King is no stranger to the unique set of challenges facing young entrepreneurs today. Her first foray into cosmetics, Poppy Industries, started when she was fresh out of high school. Armed with no formal training and pure passion, her lush cosmetics gathered a cult following in Australia and five years later, expanded into the US. After enduring the unfortunate demise of her eponymous label in 2002, she found herself working for cosmetics giant Estee Lauder, that entrepreneurial itch never ceased and now she's back stronger than ever, with a new line and a new book, Lessons of a Lipstick Queen: Finding and Developing the Great Idea that can Change your Life.
