Cross-pollination

The quality and relevance of ideas are maximized at the intersection of disciplines.

Many of the greatest creative achievements and breakthroughs are sparked at the intersection of two disciplines. In most cases, cross-pollination occurs as the result of collaboration between creative professionals from different backgrounds and creative realms. Cross-pollination is also the result of the diversity of a single creative’s background. The energy of the intersection of creative disciplines has been termed the "Medici Effect" and is more fully explored by Frans Johansson.
